Introduction to allied health professions webinar recordings

When people think of clinical careers in the NHS, the first thing that springs to mind is Doctors and Nurses, however, there are so many other options available.  Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) are a family of healthcare practitioners that work to ensure adults and children can live the fullest lives possible by helping them live with or recover from health problems. 

The following webinar recordings are designed for students years 7 – 13 and will provide participants with an overview of the 15 AHPs, the benefits of being an AHP, and answer any questions that students may have.

Discovering Orthoptics webinar recording

This webinar covers the role of an Orthoptist, conditions they will treat, and the routes to becoming an Orthoptist. Orthoptists are the experts in diagnosing and treating defects in eye movement and problems with how the eyes work together, called binocular vision. These can be caused by issues with the muscles around the eyes or defects in the nerves enabling the brain to communicate with the eyes.

This webinar is designed for all students interested in learning about an exciting career in Orthoptics and Vision Science.

A Mature Student & Career Changer’s Guide to the Allied Health Professions webinar recordings
